Every year the Boys Varsity Basketball team and Bison Backcourt Club host a Coaches vs Cancer event. This year the event will be held during their home game on February 14th vs Eden Prairie. Tip-off is at 7:00pm.
Last year the fundraiser raised over $5,500 dollars with all proceeds benefiting the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute here in Buffalo. This year the committee has voted to donate all proceed to the family of Conor Linz. Conor is a JV/Varsity player at Buffalo High School and his dad was diagnosed with metastasized kidney cancer in 2018. Conor’s dad Craig is completing his 4th form of treatment, high dose IL-2 which requires multiple hospitalizations at the U of M over the next 3 months.
The night is filled with activities before, during and after the game! There is a silent auction, raffle, halftime contest and t-shirts for sale. Silent Auction items are welcome and appreciated! Please contact a Tammy Johnson for questions/donations at: Tammylj15@yahoo.com
