Bison Backcourt Club

The Bison Backcourt Club is very proud to announce that our 5th Grade Purple team coached by Joel Bjerke, Nichole Bjerke and Brian Nelson recently won the MYAS State Championship 5th Grade (4A) Division.

The boys played extremely hard all tournament while posting victories over White Bear Lake, Inver Grove Heights, St Paul and Anoka in going 4-0 to claim the CHAMPIONSHIP. The semifinal game and championship were won on last second shots as the Bison proved they could win the close games when needed.

Congratulations to all of our traveling teams on once again having a very succesfull year.

At the February 13th board meeting,  the Bison Backcourt Club (BBC) held their annual elections.

There were four candidates (we had one candidate withdraw her name at the last minute)  for (3) open board positions.

Selected for new three year tems were:

• Julie Willert

Congratulations to the Joel, Julie and Tammy.  The board looks forward to the knowledge that you will bring to our club.  The BBC would like to thank all candidates who submitted their names to volunteer their time over the next three years.

The BBC would also like to thank "outgoing" board members Jeff Willert and Nicole Wishart for their outstanding contributions.  Your expertise and dedication will be missed.

The BBC also voted in the new officers for 2012 / 2013 year and assigned the member at large positions at the February 17th meeting.

The Bison Backcourt Club will hold our next monthly board meeting on Monday, May 14th.  The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. (please note time change back to our usual earlier time slot) at the Buffalo airport.

Our monthly board meetings are held on the second Monday of every month.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
