Buffalo High School was host to the 14th Annual Pat Sonju Memorial basketball game on Saturday, February 1st when the Buffalo Boys' basketball team hosted Brainerd.  The memorial game is in honor of the former Buffalo head boys' basketball coach and high school teacher who passed away on October 27, 1999 due to a tumor that ruptured on his adrenal gland following knee surgery.

All donations went towards the "Pat Sonju Memorial Scholarship" which has provided over $28,000 in scholarships to BHS graduates and currently have $50,000 in endowments.  There was a silent auction, raffle and Sonju memorial t-shirts that were sold.

Pat was the husband to Kim Sonju-Zrust, and his son Cameron and daughter Avery, are current BHS students who play basketball.
